ScholarLadder · Legal Center

Our commitment

ScholarLadder is committed to making its website and services usable by people with disabilities. We aim to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA as an ongoing design and testing target. This statement is a commitment to improvement, not a claim of perfect or certified conformance.

Accessibility practices

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls
  • Visible focus states and meaningful labels
  • Color contrast and text-resizing support
  • Responsive layouts that reflow on smaller screens
  • Alternative text for meaningful images
  • Captions or transcripts for ScholarLadder-created video content
  • Clear error messages and instructions
  • Reduced reliance on color alone to communicate status

Third-party content

Scholarship sponsor and database websites are outside ScholarLadder’s control and may not meet the same accessibility goals. Tell us when an external application creates a barrier and we will try to identify an accessible contact or equivalent application path without changing the sponsor’s rules.

Requesting help

If a feature, document or form is difficult to use, contact us with the page, the problem and your preferred way to receive information. We will make a good-faith effort to provide reasonable assistance or an alternative format.

Ongoing review

Accessibility will be included in design review, content creation and functional testing. Known barriers will be prioritized based on impact and feasibility.
